2024 Peterson Summer Music Series
The Riff Rangers are all about delicious, musical fun!
Led by veteran Twin Cities guitarist/vocalist Dale Dahlquist, the vocal-centric Riff Rangers perform a wide variety of toe tappin’ genres over a rich palette of guitar, bass and drums. With featured vocalists Rhiannon Fiskradatz and Kristen Olsen Rodriguez, you get three very different voices that blend magically to create a dynamic 3-part.
Bassist Dik “His lowness” Hedlund (Bonnie Raitt, Al Jarreau, Chuck Berry, Doug Maynard Band, A Prairie Home Companion house band), and drummer Will Kemperman (University of St. Thomas & Hamline University faculty, percussionist for the heralded theater production of “Glensheen”, VocalEssence and the Rochester Symphony Orchestra) create the rhythm fun.
Western swing, vintage folk & rock classics, Big Band & Hot Club, Chicago blues and a wee bit of Irish make up the diverse sounds that are The Riff Rangers. They present ear-pleasing renditions of tunes by Bonnie Raitt, Crosby-Still-Nash, Little Walter, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Cole Porter, Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys, Dolly Parton, Neil Young, John Prine, The Band, Frank Sinatra, Santana, Sons Of The Pioneers, The Mills Brothers and Janis Joplin to name a few. Now that’s range!

In the event of inclement weather, this concert will be held at Grace Lutheran Church.
